Last days in the hospital

These are some of Miller's last photos taken in the hospital. On Tuesday I talked with the doctor about Miller's progress and she said as long as everything stayed the same he could come home Thursday. It was a little surreal to hear. We just had to stay in the hospital for one night with Miller in the same room. They call it rooming in. So we stayed at the hospital Wednesday night. It was quite the night. He was hooked up to the oxygen monitor we have here at home and then the nursery had a remote monitor they were watching his vitals on. It takes some getting use to the beeping the alarm makes in the middle of the night. It pretty much makes you jump right out of bed. So we didn't get too much sleep.
They had to do all sorts of tests and stuff before he was discharged. This one was pretty funny looking. It's like an oxygen hood that goes over his head. He woke up hungry while in the bubble and started chewing on the side of it. It was pretty funny.
A few nights before we left the hospital we went in for a late night feeding. He had a dirty diaper so Brady changed him. Then of course right after he changed him he pooped again. So we took off the diaper and before we could get him covered up he peed all over his head and body. It was pretty funny. So I fed him then we gave him a bath. He wasn't a big fan of that. Then we dried him off and forgot to comb his hair so in the morning he had some serious bed head. It was just a funny experience.
