We found out last week that Brady got into dental school at UNLV!! We are seriously so excited. We were hoping for a phone call with an offer for a seat so last Monday and Tuesday we were pretty anxiously waiting. To be honest I've had pretty bad anxiety since his interview in October. It's just been such a long road for us and we were kind of feeling like nothing may ever work out. Brady doesn't get service in his lab so he kept going to check for messages and we were kind of disappointed when we never heard anything. We had talked about going out to eat to celebrate if he got in so I was really hoping not to have to cook dinner Tuesday. But I never heard anything from Brady and he hadn't heard anything at lunch. But I guess he ended up calling the admissions office after work just to see where he stood. The woman told him that they only call for students in state and mail out packets for everyone else but that he was accepted! He walked in the house went straight to check the mail. I just continued cooking. When he came back he said, I thought we were going out to eat. And I said, only if you got in. He said, well I did! I freaked out. I seriously didn't believe it. But we got his packet and acceptance letter the next day. So Exciting! So we got to go out after all. But that night Monroe got sick...She seriously didn't sleep the whole night. She had a fever and was having a really hard time breathing. So I didn't sleep all night either. We went to the doctor the next day and he sent us to the hospital. She had bronchiolitis. We were in the hospital for 2 days. 2 LONG days. The first night there nurses were constantly in the room so we seriously did not sleep again. She had to be on a high flow nasal cannula with some oxygen and she had an IV. It was pretty terrible. She had pretty bad fevers the whole time we were there and just finally got over them a day ago. We finally got to come home Friday though. Amidst all that we kind of forgot the excitement we initially felt. I think we both dreamed of keeping into school for so long that we had pretty high expectations for how happy and relieved we would feel. But that all went out the window when little woman got sick. But we are still super excited. We're going to stay here till the end of July, as long as we don't freeze this winter. It's sooo cold. Anyways, here's a bunch of pictures!
I wanted to take some fall pictures of the kiddos. I thought there would be more leaves by this tree but they still turned out pretty cute. Although I couldn't get Miller to sit by Monroe.
So exciting! Congrats! So sorry about miss Monroe! So scary. She is so stinkin cute! They both are! Love her owl sweater too. Where did you find that? Hope you had a great Christmas!
